Snow Squalls End, Bitter Cold Takes Over In Northern Connecticut
It is going to feel well below zero tonight in Hartford and Tolland counties.

Snow squalls will end by 7 p.m. tonight in Hartford and Tolland counties and then the bitter cold takes over. Temps will drop to zero degrees tonight but the strong winds will make it feel much colder.
It will feel like 13 degrees below zero tonight as winds could gust to 47 mph at times. We can expect sunny skies on Thursday with temps near 15 degrees and the wind will make it feel like 14 below zero.
More cold on Thursday night with temps near zero once again. Friday also stays cold with temps in the upper teens.

The National Weather Service in Boston/Norton has issued a Snow Squall Warning for Hartford and Tolland counties until 5:30 p.m.
The weather service says, "At 441 PM EST, a dangerous snow squall was located along a line extending from near Granby to near Fairfield, moving east at 35 mph.

HAZARD...Whiteout conditions. Zero visibility in heavy snow and blowing snow. Wind gusts greater than 30 mph.
IMPACT...Dangerous travel.

East Hartford, Middletown, Enfield, Southington, Glastonbury,
Newington, Vernon, Windsor, Wethersfield, Mansfield, South Windsor,
Farmington, Wolcott and Colchester.
