The news comes as the state moves forward on allowing sports betting.

HARTFORD, CT — Sportech Venues is seeking real estate proposals as it intends to upgrade its off-track betting parlors in Hartford, New Haven, and Bridgeport, The Hartford Business Journal reported. The New Haven-based company operates 12 "Winners" venues across the state.

The announcement comes as the state is looking to expand legal sports betting. Sportech is looking for locations with sufficient square footage, high foot traffic, and zoning for food and beverage as well as betting, according to The Hartford Business Journal.

Tuesday the state reached a deal with the Mohegan Tribal Nation that could generate tens of millions of dollars in new revenue for Connecticut, and allow for sports wagering and online gaming.
