Teen Killed In I-84 Crash In Hartford Saturday
State Police say a second teen was inside the vehicle at the time of the accident.
HARTFORD, CT — A New Britain teen, Christian Cruz, 18, of Corbin Avenue, was killed in an early Saturday morning accident, State Police said. At 1:10 a.m. Saturday, troopers responded to a one-car motor vehicle crash on Interstate-84 westbound in the area of Exit 48 in Hartford.
"Preliminary investigation indicates that the vehicle lost control, veered to the left, and impacted the center median jersey barrier. The operator was unresponsive on scene and later succumbed to his injuries at St. Francis Hospital. The front seat passenger sustained minor injuries and was also transported by ambulance to St. Francis Hospital."
The passenger was a 16-year-old New Britain teen.
