U.S. Sen. Chris Murphy Buys Historic Hartford Home

After more than a year without a permanent residence in Connecticut, Murphy's family has purchased a Hartford home.

HARTFORD, CT — U.S. Sen. Chris Murphy has purchased a house in Hartford after not owning a home in the state for more than a year, according to The Hartford Courant. Murphy and his wife, Cathy Holahan, purchased a three-bedroom, 3-bathroom home on Charter Oak Place in June for $355,000.

Murphy said that they signed the contract for the 3,392-square-foot home in March but couldn't close until June due to the pandemic.

Murphy put his Cheshire home on the market in June 2019.
