STORRS, CT — Collegiate Hotel Group announced 76 layoffs at two of its locations, Graduate New Haven and the Nathan Hale Inn & Conference Center in Storrs, according to a document filed with the Connecticut Department of Labor.

"It is the Company's hope that these layoffs will be temporary, but given the pronounced impact of the COVID19 pandemic on the global economy generally, and the Company's business operations (i.e., hospitality management) specifically, these layoffs may be permanent," the document reads.

The document notes that seniority will be one of several factors considered in determining which employee to lay off or furlough and the timing of each employee's layoff.
