CT Innovation Night Launches in Storrs

These events will be a free monthly product launch showcase and networking event.

From Connecticut Innovation Nights: On Monday April 10, 2017 from 6:00 p.m. to 8:30 p.m., the Ballard Institute and the Museum of Puppetry in Storrs will host the first CT Innovation Night (CIN), a free monthly product launch showcase and networking event. The Ballard Institute and Museum of Puppetry is one of America’s hidden treasures—a superb collection of over 2,500 puppets from all over the world; an archive of books, manuscripts, posters, drawings, audio-visual materials and photographs all covering the history of puppetry.

The Institute also offers workshops, museum tours, artists’ forums, film showings, performances, and other events and programs that promote the art of puppetry as a twenty-first-century art form with deep historic and global roots.

“Connecticut Innovation Nights is a nomadic event, stemmed out of the Boston region and now entering the Connecticut market, with aspirations to partner with companies that support entrepreneurs and innovators across the state,” said Angelina Capalbo, licensee of CT Innovation Nights. “UConn and it’s School of Fine Arts and School of Business are a perfect partner to help get our events off of the ground here in Connecticut. Located just off UConn’s main campus in an area called Storrs Center, a mixed-use center in town where an eclectic mix of restaurants, shops, offices, homes, walkways, and green spaces create a connected,
thriving community for everyone in the region.”
