Guidelines for Submitting Letters to Mansfield-Storrs Patch
Campaign season for state offices is in full swing, which usually generates a considerable amount of letters to the editor.

MANSFIELD-STORRS, CT — Primary elections for state office candidates are now behind us, which means election campaigns are now in full swing, and with that comes the inevitable letters to the editor.
Mansfield-Storrs Patch has established some basic rules to which letter writers must adhere:
- Patch Media welcomes letters to the editor on local and statewide topics, and reserves the right to edit letters for brevity or clarity.
- Acceptable letters regarding political candidates will refer to the positive qualities of the candidate; letters which are considered negative toward a candidate's opponent will be edited or unpublished.
- Please focus letters on state races, not national.
- Email letters, including the writer's name, address and phone, to chris.dehnel@patch.com.
- Deadline for letters is Oct. 31; letters received after that date will not be published.
