Happy Thanksgiving, Mansfield and Storrs

Please tell us what you are thankful for this year.

Sure, it's almost time to eat... and eat and eat, but before the feast begins, Thanksgiving is also the season for recognizing what we're grateful for in our lives.

I am thankful to have two wonderful, healthy children, a loving husband and best friend, a supportive family and a warm house to come home to, or work from everyday.

Several readers shared some wonderful thoughts with Mansfield-Storrs Patch through Facebook over the past few days. Here are some of those. Please add your own throughout the day:

From Heidi Jones:

"I'm thankful for my family of course, but also for the amazing generosity of the Coventry and Mansfield communities for coming together to donate so much for the Long Island victims of Hurricane Sandy. We are going down on Friday morning to deliver all of the items to an outreach center. The people on Long Island will definitely be helped by the jackets, gloves, hats, scarves, food, blankets, baby items, toiletries, and everything else that was donated."

From Gregory Samuels:

"I'm thankful for my family and that the town council didn't send their ridiculous school building project to a vote...Save Southeast!!"
