Interfaith Group's Peace-Themed T-Shirt Fundraiser Continues

Proceeds will benefit the Windham Region No Freeze Project

The Windham Region Interfaith Working Group is continuing its popular peace-themed t-shirt fundraiser, with proceeds benefitting the Windham Region No Freeze Project.

The two organizations have already raised more than $1,200 from the sale of the shirts, which display the word “Peace” in three languages--Hebrew, Arabic and English. They are available in a variety of colors and sizes.

Donations will be used to provide temporary shelter and human services resources to homeless adults in the area.

“The t-shirt fundraiser is aimed not only at helping some of our neediest neighbors stay warm this winter, but at providing a message of warmth to all of our neighbors in these trying times,” said Sheila Amdur, chair of the interfaith group. “Our guiding principle is one of unity--we are one community and we must act to support one another, especially the most vulnerable among us."

Those interested in ordering peace t-shirts may do so on the Windham Region No Freeze Project website. Supplies are limited.
