MANSFIELD, CT — The results are in for the 2019 Mansfield municipal election and the Democrats dominated the top of the ticket.

Residents were asked, "SHALL THE TOWN OF MANSFIELD APPROPRIATE $50,512,000 FOR COSTS WITH RESPECT TO THE DESIGN, CONSTRUCTION, EQUIPPING AND FURNISHING OF A PRE-K THROUGH GRADE 4 ELEMENTARY SCHOOL TO BE LOCATED ON TOWN-OWNED PROPERTY AT 134 WARRENVILLE ROAD IN MANSFIELD, AND THE DEMOLITION OF THE EXISTING SOUTHEAST ELEMENTARY SCHOOL, AND AUTHORIZE THE ISSUE OF BONDS AND NOTES TO FINANCE THE PORTION OF THE APPROPRIATION NOT DEFRAYED FROM GRANTS?"

The other races were:

Board of Assessment Appeals candidates are: Democrats, Shannon Sion and Barbara Vaughan, and Republican Eric Holinko. You’ll vote for any two candidates.

Planning and Zoning full term candidates are: Democrats, Carlito Cotton and Louanne Cooley, and Republican, Doryann Plante. You’ll vote for any two candidates.

The lone candidate to fill a two-year Planning and Zoning term is Sarah Accorsi, a Democrat. The lone candidate to fill a Planning and Zoning alternate term is John DeVivio, a Democrat.

Candidates for the Zoning Board of Appeals are Democrats, Rich Brosseau and Don Vigneau. You’ll vote for any two candidates. The lone candidate for Zoning Board of Appeals alternate is Tom Ward, a Republican.

Candidates for the Regional Board of Education are Democrats, Nancy Silander and Debra Hultgren. You’ll vote for any two candidates.
