Mansfield Arrests Include Operating Under Suspension, Larceny

These reports were logged at Troop C in Tolland and do not indicate convictions.

July 10

At approximately 2:58 p.m., a trooper was dispatched to the Big Y in Mansfield to investigate a larceny complaint. The arrestee, Carly Alisa Rogers, 19, of 60 W. Penwood Xing in Glastonbury, was issued a misdemeanor summons and released on a promise to appear and charged with sixth-degree larceny after stealing hair products, butter, and bacon.

Troopers were dispatched to investigate the report of a residential burglary that occurred on Baxter Road in Mansfield. Unknown on exact date of occurrence, but it was believed to have occurred between June 15 and July 10. Anyone with information is asked to contact Trooper Cormier at Troop C at 860-896-3222 ext. 8011.

July 11

A vehicle was traveling eastbound on Crane Hill Road when the operator veered the vehicle to the right, causing the vehicle to exit the roadway. The vehicle struck a tree located off the shoulder of Crane Hill Road eastbound lane. The impact with the tree caused the vehicle to turn over once in the Crane Hill Road eastbound lane, where the vehicle became uprtight to its final rest. The operator, a 61-year-old Columbia woman, was transported by Mansfield Ambulance to Windham Hospital for treatment of neck and back pain.

A vehicle was traveling northbound on Stafford Road when the operator lost control of the vehicle when attempting to negotiate a curve in the roadway. The vehicle veered to the left, crossing the Stafford Road southbound lane where the vehicle exited the roadway. It continued to travel through heavy brush located off of the Stafford Road southbound lane where the vehicle struck a tree and came to a final rest. The operator, an 18-year-old Stafford Springs woman, was transported by UConn Ambulance to Johnson Memorial Hospital for treatment of neck and back pain.

July 16

At approximately 5:30 p.m., a trooper observed Karl Nagy, 27, of 55 Foster Dr., Apt. D in Mansfield, operating a scooter on Foster Drive in Mansfield with a passenger on back. Nagy has a suspended license and is frequently getting arrested for operating under suspension. Nagy was placed under arrest and transported to Troop C where he was charged with operating under suspension. Nagy was released on a $1,000 non-surety bond and was due in court on July 27.

July 20

A vehicle was traveling east on Route 44 in Mansfield when at approximately 15 feet east of Depot Road, the vehicle left the roadway and collided with an unoccupied camping trailer. The operator, an 80-year-old Farmington man, was transported to Windham Hospital by Mansfield Ambulance.
