Mansfield Athlete Earns All-Academic Team Honors at RIT

E.O. Smith alumnus honored for impressive season.

Mansfield's Ben Kelley, a member of RIT men's track and field team, recently earned 2013 United States Track and Field and Cross Country Coaches Association (USTFCCCA) All-Academic team honors.

He is a sprinter and hurdler for the Tigers.

Kelley recorded a 3.73 GPA in 2012-13, with a major in information security and forensics, according to the school's Web site.

"He was one of the top hurdlers in the region, with several top-three finishes. Kelley recorded the 34th best 60-neter hurdle time in the nation at 8.37 seconds which just missed setting a school record," reads a school statement.
