Mansfield Drive-In Theatre Reopening May 20
The owners announced several precautions & social-distancing rules that will be in effect for the reopening of the popular drive-in theatre.
MANSFIELD, CT — The popular Mansfield Drive-in Theatre & Marketplace recently received permission to start showing movies again next week. The drive-in’s owners say that while they are excited about opening Wednesday, May 20, and providing a “quarantine friendly form of entertainment, our number one priority is keeping our guests, staff and community safe.”
The owners announced several precautions they will be taking to ensure everyone’s safety. They also haven’t finalized movie bookings yet, but will be announcing them once they are available for sale.
“We will only be showing single features movies on each screen and staggering their start times,” reads a post on the drive-in’s Facebook page. “Carload Wednesday's are postponed. We will only be allowing online tickets to be purchased. If you are unable to purchase tickets online, please contact us at least 24 hours in advance to set up other arrangements.

Customers must remain in their vehicles or truck bed at all times except to use the restrooms and must wear masks if leaving their vehicle.
“We will have single stall bathrooms located around our field that will be sanitized routinely throughout the night. Customers must wear a mask when exiting their vehicles at any time.”
