Mansfield Takes $1.7 Million State Aid Hit in Malloy's Plan
Mansfield was supposed to get $19.4 million in state aid in fiscal year 2019; now, Malloy wants to give town $17.7 million

The bad news keeps coming for Connecticut municipalities as the state attempts to claw out from under its budget mess.
Under Gov. Dannel P. Malloy's revised, proposed adjustments to the fiscal year 2019 budget previously adopted by the legislature state municipal aid would be cut nearly $100 million - both in the education and non-education side.
For Mansfield it would be a 9 percent reduction from the $19.4 million it was supposed to get to $17.7 million.
