Moms Call Cops On Teens Who Took Cars In Mansfield, Ellington
Two moms called state police on their sons after the boys took vehicles without permission.

ELLINGTON/MANSFIELD, CT — Two moms called state police on their sons after the boys took vehicles without permission seconds apart from two different locations, police reports indicate.
Both incidents took place on Sept. 18, according to reports.
At 12:03 a.m., state police received a call from an Ellngton mom who said her son drove away from their Glenwood Road residence with her car. The 17-year-old was subsequently charged with using a motor vehicle without permission and disorderly conduct. He is due in court on Sept. 24, according to a report.

Seventeen seconds later, a 17-year-old boy from Mansfield was pulled over after driving erratically on Route 195 in Storrs, state police said. Troopers were alerted by the boy's mother, according to a report.
The boy was charged with driving under the influence, a lane violation and operating a car without a license, state police said.
