Author Event with Denis Horgan at Saxton B. Little Free Library - Acclaimed author Denis Horgan will discuss the topic "Newspapering: Then & Now: What Went Wrong?" and read from his latest book, "The Bangkok World" on Tuesday, August 27th at 6:45pm at the Saxton B. Little Free Library. Denis's talk will be part of the 5th annual Connecticut Author Trail. 

2nd Annual Railroad Day at the Museum - Come spend the day or even a few hours. Connecticut Eastern Railroad Museum is celebrating its 2nd Annual Railroad Day. Turntable and Gallows Signal Demos all day, 5 different groups provide live music from 11AM, Food and beverage available for purchase, tours of museum buildings, locomotives, and railroad cars, pump car rides, Blacksmith demos, and ride the Air Line Train to Bridge St. and back (extra cost).  Admission - Adults - $5.00, Children 8 to 12 years - $1.00, and under 8 years FREE.
