Suspected Thief Sought In Mansfield

MANSFIELD, CT — State police are looking to identify a suspected thief in Mansfield.

Mansfield Resident Troopers were called to investigate the report of a larceny in the area Pine Woods Lane on Saturday. It was later discovered that a purse was taken from an unlocked motor vehicle and located inside of a stolen motor vehicle that was recovered days later, according to a report.

Credit cards from inside the purse were used at a nearby gas station and surveillance video showed this suspect driving the stolen vehicle, and making two purchases with the stolen credit cards from the purse, according to a report.

State police released a surveillance image of the suspect.
