UConn Student Arrested On Child Porn Charge: Report
The student was arraigned on the felony charge on Friday, according to news reports.
STORRS, CT — A University of Connecticut student was arrested after officials say dozens of child porn videos and images were found on his computer, NBC Connecticut reported, citing university police.
The student, Chun Wang, 18, was arraigned on Friday on a charge of felony possession of child porn, according to the news report.
The Hartford Courant reported that the Connecticut Center for Digital Investigations got a tip last October that images were downloaded from an IP address at the Storrs campus. The student told police he didn't know child porn possession was a crime, according to the Courant.

UConn said in a statement to media outlets it could not discuss potential discipline cases involving individual students.
The statement said that in general, students who violate the code of conduct can face penalties.
