UConn Women Announce Series With NC State, South Carolina

UConn and North Carolina State will be getting back together on the basketball court.

STORRS, CT — The University of Connecticut women’s basketball team has scheduled a home-and-home series with North Carolina State beginning in the 2022-23 season, the programs announced Monday. New games with South Carolina have also been announced.

The Huskies will host the Wolfpack in Connecticut in 2022-23 before traveling to Raleigh, N.C., in 2023-24.

UConn is 6-2 all-time vs. NC State. The teams last faced off in the 2007 NCAA Sweet 16.

The Wolfpack posted a 22-3 record in 2020-21, earning a No. 1 seed in the NCAA Tournament and finishing the season with a Sweet 16 appearance. NC State has won back-to-back ACC Tournament Championships.

UConn has extended its series with South Carolina for two more seasons, the programs announced Monday.

The Huskies will host the Gamecocks in 2022-23 and travel to Columbia, S.C., in 2023-24. UConn travels to South Carolina in 2021-22 in the final game of the programs' current two-game series.

UConn is 9-1 all-time vs. South Carolina. Last season, the Huskies beat the then-No. 1 Gamecocks, 63-59, in overtime in Gampel Pavilion.
