2 Killed, 1 Injured In Meriden Homicide

Police are investigating a homicide at a Meriden apartment building.

MERIDEN, CT — Two people were killed and another was injured in a Meriden homicide. Police were called at 12:43 a.m. Friday regarding a violent altercation at 76 Lincoln St., Apt. 2N.

They found a man, later identified as Kevin Burch, 56, on the front porch, who had suffered stab wounds. They entered the home and found a woman who had suffered stab wounds and a second man, who appeared to be dead.

Medical personnel treated Burch and the woman for their injuries, then transported them to local hospitals. They confirmed that the second man was dead.

The woman, Tania Roman, 41, of 76 Lincoln St., Apt. 2N in Meriden, succumbed to her injuries at the hospital.

The man who suffered fatal injuries was identified as Cornelius Nicholson, 37, of 60 Center St., Apt. 3 in Wallingford.

Police obtained search warrants for the apartment. Preliminary investigation appears to show that Nicholson may have been the aggressor, police said.

The investigation remains ongoing.
