Abercrombie Re-Appointed To Human Services Committee Chair

House Speaker-designate Matt Ritter (D-Hartford) and House Majority Leader Jason Rojas (D-East Hartford) today announced the House chair of the Human Services Committee, Rep. Cathy Abercrombie.

“Cathy brings a unique understanding of critical issues to the Human Services Committee," Speaker-designate Ritter said. "Her passion and commitment to vulnerable communities across the state are a perfect combination with her expertise on the issues that matter most to them. She has done an exceptional job leading Human Services and I am pleased she has accepted reappointment to this important role."

Rep. Abercrombie represents Meriden's 83rd Assembly District. In addition to her leadership role, Cathy is currently serving as Chair of the Appropriations Human Services Subcommittee.
