City Of Meriden: Daniel Hand Is The 2021 Maloney Scholarship Recipient

MALONEY SCHOLARSHIP COMMITTEE

Daniel Hand has been a lifelong Meriden resident, attending Israel Putnam Elementary, Lincoln Middle School, and is currently graduating from Platt High School 24th in his class with a GPA of 4.2. Daniel has committed much of his high school career to environmentalism and educating his community about environmental issues. His sophomore year at Platt, Daniel founded an environmental group that has since then cleared several tons of trash from the Quinnipiac River and its tributaries. Daniel prides himself in his service to his community, and plans to study environmental science, with a focus on water conservation at the College of the Atlantic in Bar Harbor, Maine.
