MERIDEN, CT — A New York City chef has plans to open a combination deli, grocery, and restaurant at the site of a former sports bar and nightclub, The Meriden Record-Journal reported. Jorge Rendon is preparing the 2000-square-foot Frida Restaurant and Deli at 151 Lewis Ave.
The restaurant is expected to open in the next few weeks. The spot formerly housed Noiise Sports Bar.
Noiise closed in April 2016 following a shooting that injured three, according to The Record-Journal.
