DUI Meriden Driver Fled Scene After Accident: Milford Police
Police say they were able to stop the vehicle as it was about to enter onto I-95.
MILFORD, CT — A DUI Meriden man is accused of fleeing the scene of an accident, Milford Police say. On July 2, police took custody of Miguel Cardenas, 44, of Webster Street, on an active arrest warrant.
Cardenas is accused of driving his car while under the influence of alcohol and with a suspended license on June 23, police said. Police said on June 23, officers responded to an accident on Bridgeport and Hazelwood avenues in which the offending vehicle had fled the scene, police said.
Police found the vehicle entering I-95 Exit 34 and stopped the car, police said.

Cardenas is charged with DUI, evading responsibility and was given a court date of Aug. 1.
