Lowe's May Be Returning To Meriden
The Lowe's store may return as an outlet location, according to a report.
MERIDEN, CT — The Lowe's store at Meriden Parkade Plaza may be turned into a "Lowe's Outlet" store, according to The Record-Journal. The 1201 E. Main St. store has sat empty for nine years, but recent jobs listings posted on the Lowe's website indicate that it may be coming back.
A city official also said Lowe's has applied for a permit for interior renovations.
Lowe's Outlets offer used appliances at discounts of 25 to 70 percent. The Lowe's location closed in 2011, three and a half years after it opened, The Record-Journal reported.
