Meriden's 2017 4th Of July Fireworks Schedule Details

MERIDEN, CT — Meriden’s Independence Day fireworks celebration will be held on Monday, July 3 at Hubbard Park. The festivities begin at 5 p.m. There will be food available throughout the evening — fried dough, hamburgers, hot dogs, soda, water, frozen push pops, chips, and entertainment throughout the night.

Due to the Independence Day celebration fireworks on July 3, the Hubbard Park pool will close early at 4:00 pm and the vehicle access road to Castle Craig will close for the day. (To sign up for Meriden breaking news alerts and more, click here.)

On July 4, all Summer Playground Program sites and the Hubbard Park pool will be closed. The Castle Craig vehicle access road and the Lions Club water park will be open as scheduled.

Schedule of Events for Monday, July 3:

• 5 p.m. - Welcome from Mayor Kevin Scarpati
• 5:15 p.m.: Performance by "Risen"
• 7:30 p.m.: Performance by "West End Blend"
• 9 -9:15 p.m.: Fireworks begin
