Meriden Best Buy to Remain Open
The store had previously announced that it would be closing its doors in November leaving close to 60 employees without jobs.

The Best Buy at Westfield Meriden Mall will remain open, My Record-Journal reports.
The store announced in September that it would be closing on Nov.1 as the result of a real estate decision.
A spokesman for the company told the paper they had reached an agreement with the landlord about new terms of the lease that included a significant reduction in rent.

If the store had closed as many as 60 full-time and part-time employees would have been left unemployed, according to the New Haven Register.
Best Buy also told the Record-Journal that it would be hiring a good number of people at four of their locations at Newington, North Haven, West Hartford and Meriden.
