"At Meriden Center, we specialize in short-stay post-hospital care with a focus on cardiac care. Dr. George Spivak from Cardiology Associates of Central Connecticut in Wallingford rounds weekly on our patients managing their cardiac diagnosis and needs. Dr. Benjamin Yeboah, from Internal Medicine of Greater New Haven with offices in Hamden, Cheshire, West Haven and Milford and a hospitalist at Yale HealthCare Systems ensures all our patients have the best medical care as he works with the skilled nurses at Meriden Center.

This is my twentieth year with Genesis – and here at Meriden I have the privilege of working with a skilled team of nurses and therapists who work daily to help folks return home, if that is their goal.

Offering physical therapy or occupational therapy, often seven days a week, ensures our patients get home quickly. We are proud to be home to over 100 guests, and our certified nursing assistants care daily for their personal needs and preferences. Our dietary team cooks three meals a day for our guests – offering specialties from scratch with favorites including but not limited to beef lasagna, braised pork over rice and buttermilk ranch chicken. For those with a sweet tooth, we have desserts like strawberry ambrosia, cheesecake and peanut butter delight — just a few of our top picks.
