Meriden Liquor Store Robbed At Gunpoint

The owner of a Meriden liquor store attempted to defend himself in an armed robbery.

MERIDEN, CT — A Meriden liquor store was robbed at gunpoint Saturday night, according to The Record-Journal. A man wearing a ski mask, hoodie, and white sneakers came into Grog Shop at 1063 Colony Road at 7:15 p.m. brandishing a gun.

The owner tried to defend himself, his wife, and a customer using a baseball bat. However, the suspect struck the customer with the gun and left the scene with stolen cash.
