Meriden Man Killed In Crash In Cheshire

CHESHIRE, CT — Jason Ventura, 24, of Meriden, has been identified by police as the person killed in a two-vehicle crash late Tuesday night in Cheshire.

The crash happened around 11:10 p.m. in the area of 1591 Highland Ave. (Route 10) and involved a sedan and a pickup truck, according to police.

Ventura was pronounced dead at the scene, police said. Others involved in the crash were taken to local hospitals for their injuries, according to Lt. Michael Durkee.

The Naugatuck Valley Collision Investigation Team is “still working diligently” on the crash, Durkee said in an update on Thursday.
