Meriden Man Sentenced For Distributing Crack: Feds
Authorities made several controlled purchases from the man's associate in Middletown, according to officials.
MERIDEN, CT — A Meriden man has been sentenced to 27 months in prison for distributing crack cocaine, according to officials.
Rayshon Frazier, 30, was also sentenced Thursday to three years of supervised release following the prison term, Acting U.S. Attorney for Connecticut Leonard C Boyle announced.
In July and August 2019, the DEA New Haven Task made multiple controlled purchases of distribution quantities of crack cocaine from Frazier’s associate in Middletown, according to authorities.

“After Frazier’s associate was incarcerated on a state probation violation in early September 2019, Frazier took over his associate’s drug distribution activity,” officials wrote in a news release. “Between September and November 2019, investigators made three controlled purchases of crack, totaling approximately 40 grams, from Frazier in Waterbury, where Frazier formerly resided.”
Frazier was arrested on a federal criminal complaint on Nov. 27, 2019. He pleaded guilty last December to one count of possession with intent to distribute, and distribution of, cocaine base (“crack”).

Frazier, who was released on a $100,000 bond, is required to report to prison on May 19.
The investigation is being conducted by the Drug Enforcement Administration New Haven Task Force and the Middletown Police Department. The DEA New Haven Task Force includes participants from the U.S. Marshals Service, Internal Revenue Service – Criminal Investigation Division, Connecticut State Police and the New Haven, Hamden, West Haven, North Haven, East Haven, Branford, Ansonia, Meriden, Derby, Middletown, Naugatuck and Waterbury police departments.
