MERIDEN, CT — Gov. Ned Lamont has ordered all restaurants and bars to close in an effort to help contain the spread of the new coronavirus. Local eateries are allowed to afford delivery and takeout though.

In Meriden most but not all restaurants are offering delivery and takeout options.

Lido's Restaurant posted the following: "To our valued customers lidos will be open for take out. Our full menu will be available."

Avanti Restaurant posted the following: "As our community goes through these uncertain times we are remaining OPEN during our normal business hours (Tuesday-Saturday 11:30am-9:30pm, Sunday 11:30am-8:30pm) for TAKE-OUT service."
