Meriden’s Prescott Earns All-America Honors At NCAA Championships

Meriden's Tyler Prescott set a new school record for the SCSU men's swimming and diving team and the NCAA championships.

MERIDEN, CT — Tyler Prescott, a junior on the Southern Connecticut State University men's swimming and diving team, set a new school record and finished 11th in the 200 backstroke to earn All-America honors at the NCAA Championships Saturday. Prescott placed 13th in the prelims with a school-record time of 1:46.71. In the finals, he swam a time of 1:46.29 to break his own school-record mark.
