Meriden Soccer Club U14 Girls Win Connecticut Cup!
MSC U14 Grils dominated their league and the Connecticut Cup tournament.
The Meriden Soccer Club U14 Girls wrapped up an impressive season on Saturday, June 14th as they were crowned Connecticut Cup champions. The ladies from Meriden dominated West Hartford in the championship game winning 5-0.
The Connecticut Cup is a state-wide single-elimination tournament for boys and girls travel teams in each age group from U11 to U19. In addition to their regular league play, teams entered into the tournament play a Connecticut Cup game each week, usually on Saturday, until it is eliminated; the last team standing is the Connecticut Cup champion. Through five rounds of competition the team outscored it's competition 20-0!
The Connecticut Cup title comes in addition to their equally impressive CJSA South Central District title in which they went undefeated in the Comp A division.
