Caregiver Linda Papaspliliotopulus of Meriden was stunned to once again be selected as Assisted Living Services, Inc. Platinum Caregiver Award winner for the month of February. The homecare agency team surprised the hourly homemaker with the prestigious honor at a client’s home on April 6, 2021. In addition to a check for $5,000, the monthly award includes a beautiful crystal statue and a certificate of merit. When Linda won last year, she planned to take her family on a trip to Italy.

“I can’t take it, I love you guys,” said Papaspliliotopulus as she was overcome with emotion and hugged Mario D’Aquila, MBA and Chief Operating Officer of ALS, when he presented her with the ceremonial check. “I do these things because it’s from here,” she said as she patted her heart.
Lynne Schmidt, Director of Marketing and Hourly Services for ALS, explained Papaspliliotopulus actually earned accolades from two different clients, including top-notch reviews for her work ethic. “We are thrilled to acknowledge Linda’s continued dedication to ensuring all of her clients enjoy a clean and safe home environment,” said D’Aquila. “We are always looking to hire homemakers who share that same enthusiasm and commitment.”

D’Aquila notes there is no limit to the number of times an employee can win the lucrative bonus as the monthly award program was created as a retention initiative. Homecare Pulse, a third-party survey company that measures customer satisfaction, contacts ALS clients at random to rate the services and quality of care that is being provided. Clients and families can acknowledge caregivers who went “above and beyond” when caring for them or their loved one. The caregiver with the highest quality score earns the prestigious and well-deserved recognition for their outstanding work.
As an ALS homemaker, Linda performs light housekeeping duties such as vacuuming, dusting, laundry, washing floors, meal preparation & grocery shopping, Personal Care Assistance, and transportation & escorting to doctor appointments, social engagements, shopping, etc. Watch the award presentation at https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=qWoILEakOHU.
