MidState Receives Donation from The Sister’s Project
The $7K donation to Hartford Healthcare Cancer Institute will be used to purchase a handbook for breast cancer patients.

From Hartford HealthCare: The Sisters Project of Wallingford has made a $7,000 donation to the Hartford HealthCare Cancer Institute at MidState Medical Center. This donation will be used to purchase a handbook for breast cancer patients to help guide them through their cancer treatments as well as to purchase supplies for support bags to be given to patients that have had a lumpectomy. The Sisters’ Project also donated 200 tote bags to be used for the lumpectomy bags.
“We are so grateful to the Sister’s Project for this donation which will allow us to provide additional support to our patients facing breast cancer,” said Dr. Susan Alsamarai, medical oncologist at MidState’s cancer center. “The handbook and lumpectomy bags are essential tools to help patients through their treatment and to recovery.”
