Fugitive Crashes In Meriden Police Chase; Several Hurt
One man was arrested following a head-on, wrong-way crash on I-691 Wednesday.
MERIDEN, CT — A wrong-way, head-on crash on I-691 east resulted in two injuries Wednesday night, according to police. Cequan Traikanibal Goodman entered the highway at the Exit 8 offramp going the wrong way.
His 2020 Mitsubishi Outlander struck a 2016 Toyota RAV-4 head on in the right lane, causing both vehicles to spin around, police said.
Goodman was arrested by state police on charges of reckless driving, operating a motor vehicle with a suspended license, driving the wrong way on a highway, and failure to maintain proper lane.

Goodman was released into the custody of Meriden police, who were pursuing him on charges related to a shooting.
Goodman and two people in the Toyota were transported to Midstate Medical Center for treatment of minor injuries.
