Nikkie Has Found a Home After Struggling at the Meriden Animal Control

The dog made her way to her new home on Friday.

Nikkie, the pitbull boxer mix who had been at the Meriden Animal Control for nearly five months has found a home.

The Meriden Animal Control announced the news on their Facebook page on Monday.

Assistant Animal Control Officer, Sarah Bacon said the dog was stressed out after being at the pound for so long and was in desperate need of a home.

Nikkie was adopted on Friday. Her new owner told Meriden Animal Control, “She is an absolute angel. Totally came out of her shell today. Loved being outside, her tail wagged all day. And she is already cuddling up to me, follows me around the whole house it’s adorable. She even loved being in the car, she stares at everything.”

Community members responded positively to the news on the Facebook page, expressing their happiness for the dog.
