Obituary: Anastacio Suarez, 72, of Meriden
Anastacio was a parishioner of St. Rose of Lima Church and also the proud owner of Chef's Hat Pizza for close to 20 years.

MERIDEN, CT - (From Wallingford Funeral Home) Anastacio Suarez, 72, of Meriden, passed away on April 15th, 2021, at MidState Medical Center after battling a long-term illness.
He was the loving husband to Benigna (Fernandez) Suarez, whom he was married to for 53 years.
He was born in Aguada, Puerto Rico on September 19, 1948, a son of the late Juan and Anastacia Suarez. Remembered for his contagious laugh, he was best known as “Tacio” or “Suarez”.

He was devoted to his family and had an unwavering faith in God having been a parishioner of St. Rose of Lima Church since he moved to Meriden in 1980. He was also the proud owner of Chef’s Hat Pizza for close to 20 years.
In addition to his wife, he is survived by his daughters, Evelyn Febles and her husband, Davis, of Meriden; Maritza Torres and her husband, Manny, of Meriden; Noelia Suarez of Beavercreek, Ohio; Ivelisse Soto and her partner, Howard Lohmann, of Meriden; and several grandchildren, Julissa, Vanessa, Jailene, Sergio, Jenixza, Ariana, Xavier, Noah, and Brady.

His family will receive relatives and friends at The Wallingford Funeral Home, 809 North Main Street Ext., Wallingford on Tuesday, April 20, 2021 from 9 am until 10:30 am.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 11 am at St. Rose of Lima Church in Meriden. You can view his Mass via livestream by visiting www.wallingfordfh.com at 11 am on Tuesday.
Masks and COVID-19 precautions are to be followed at all services. Interment will be in Walnut Grove Cemetery in Meriden.
