Obituary: Arcy 'Mita' Mariani, 37, Of Meriden

MERIDEN, CT - (From Wallingford Funeral Home) Arcy “Mita” Mariani, 37, of Meriden, passed away surrounded by her family & friends on April 25, 2021 at Hartford Hospital.

Arcy was born in Meriden on June 20, 1983, a daughter of Juan Mariani of Waterbury and the late Sonia DeJesus.

In addition to her father, Arcy is survived by her fiancé Miguel Ramirez; her son, Raul Garcia; her daughter, Saniya Ramirez; Martika & Devin Nieves, who she always had under her wing; her siblings, Sonia Arocho, Magdalia Arocho, Juan Mariani, Jessica Burdacki and her husband, Ted; her nieces and nephews of which she was like a sister to; lots of cousins; many extended family members; and her large group of friends that were more like family.

In addition to her mother, she was predeceased by her sister, Carmen Arocho.

Arcy always had a way of brightening the room with her smile and her fun presence. Her children always came first and she always had an open door for family & friends. She held so many titles; Fiancé, Mom, Titi, Sister, friend and now our Angel.

Her sudden passing will have a long lasting impression on so many.

The family will receive relatives and friends at The Wallingford Funeral Home, 809 North Main Street Ext., Wallingford on Saturday, May 1, 2021 from 9 am until 11 am.

A funeral service will follow at 11 am in the funeral home. Masks must be worn and Covid-19 precautions are to be followed at all services.
