Obituary: Charles Germe, 73, of Meriden
Charles, a devoted family man and proud father and grandfather, worked as a health and physical education teacher in Ansonia for many years.

MERIDEN, CT - (From B.C. Bailey Funeral Home) Charles Germe, 73, died after a long illness on March 21, 2021. He was the beloved husband of Christine (Currie) Germe.
Charles was born in New Haven on December 9, 1947, son to the late Charles and Carmelina (Gaudioso) Germe.
He graduated from Wilbur Cross High School in New Haven, received his bachelor's and master's degrees from SCSU and 6TH Year Certificate from St. Joseph's University.

Before retirement he taught Health and Physical Education at the elementary and middle school level in Ansonia.
He enjoyed buying and selling at tag sales and flea markets, often repairing and refinishing his finds.

He spent many summers in Narragansett, RI fishing with family and friends on his boat the "Playing Hooky".
Most of all he was a devoted family man. An extremely proud father and grandfather
Besides his loving wife, Charles is survived by his children: Jenifer (Douglas) Sheehan, Geoffrey (Jennifer Brown) Germe, Grandchildren: Cameron Germe, Kyle Sheehan, Douglas Sheehan, Madeline Germe, Brother: Gennaro Germe, Sisters in Law: Rose (Gennaro) Germe, Patricia Zaffino, Jennifer (James) Cavallaro, Brother-in-Law: Allyn (Marilyn) Currie, Mother-in-Law: Ann Braun Currie, and many cherished nieces, nephews, and cousins.

The B.C. Bailey Funeral Home of Wallingford has been entrusted with arrangements. Due to current Covid conditions services for Charles are private and at the convenience of the family.
