Obituary: Jean Y. Pelletier, 71, of Meriden

Jean, a loving father and grandfather, served as a mechanic at G&H Equipment in North Haven and at SCSU for many years.

MERIDEN, CT - (From Meriden Memorial Funeral Home) Jean Y. Pelletier, 71, of Meriden, passed away peacefully with family by his side, Tuesday, April 13, 2021.

Jean was born in New Brunswick, Canada, March 6, 1950, a son of the late Romeo Pelletier and Noella (Michaud) Pelletier and had been a Meriden resident for many years.

Jean was employed as a mechanic at G&H Equipment in North Haven and Southern Connecticut State University until his retirement.

He is survived by his loving daughter Vicky Ramirez of Meriden, three grandchildren Brittney and Ajay Ramirez, Ava Cookson, and his great granddaughter Cali. He is also survived by his brothers; and sisters Normand of Montreal, Lucille, Bertrand and Daniel all of Baker Lake, Canada.

He was predeceased by his son Ricky Pelletier; and siblings Paul, Mariette, Gaston, Gilles, Yvon and Maurice.

Jean’s family will receive relatives and friends at the Stempien Funeral Home, 450 Broad St., Meriden, Wednesday, April 21, from 4 p.m. until 7 p.m.

A funeral service will be held in the funeral home at 6 p.m.
