Obituary: Nancy D. Weathers, 80, of Meriden

MERIDEN, CT - (From Wallingford Funeral Home) Nancy D. Weathers, 80, of Meriden, died peacefully at home with her loving family at her bedside on Thursday, July 1, 2021.

She was born in Meriden, October 27, 1940, a daughter of the late George C. and Agnes Ann (Fuda) Dooley, and was employed as an operator for S.N.E.T. for over 30 years until her retirement.

She had a love of reading as well as photography.

She also loved watching the birds.

She is survived by her son, Buddy Barre and Connie Thibodeau; her daughter, Laura Buonfiglio and her husband Eric; her grandchildren, which are the light of her life, Megan, Matthew and Jacob Buonfiglio; her great grandkids, Owen and Benjamin.

A special thank you to Morgan Scinto who has been a beacon of light during these dark times. She is also survived by her husband Karl, who resides in Maryland. She was predeceased by her son, Michael Keith Barre.

Her family would like to thank the caregivers who extended excellent care to Nancy. Especially, Diana and Amy from Right at Home, and Sandra, Lori and Megan from Comfort Keepers.

Her family will receive relatives and friends in The Wallingford Funeral Home, 809 N. Main St. Ext., Thursday, July 8th, from 9:30 am to 10:45 am when the funeral cortege will proceed to St. Joseph Church in Meriden where a Mass of Christian Burial will be Celebrated at 11:30 am.

Interment will follow in Sacred Heart Cemetery in Meriden.
