Obituary: Nancy Fontanella Myers, 102, of Meriden
Nancy, an avid golfer and devoted wife, mother and grandmother, worked at the Holiday Inn in Meriden for many years.

MERIDEN, CT - (From Meriden Memorial Funeral Home) Nancy Fontanella Myers, 102, wife of the late Thaddeus J. Myers, passed away Saturday, April 24, 2021 at MidState Medical Center.
A daughter of the late Angelo and Adelaide Fontanella, Nancy was a life-long Meriden resident and attended Meriden schools. After graduating from Meriden High School, she attended a business school in New Haven and upon completion, worked in the payroll department at New Departure prior to the birth of her daughters.
She returned to work when her children were older and worked for many years at the Holiday Inn in Meriden.

An active person most of her life, she followed in her family’s tradition, playing golf, and met her future husband on the golf course. In later years she was a family caretaker, visiting family, taking them to appointments, babysitting her nephew’s children and later on her granddaughter.
A devoted wife and loving mother, she is survived by two daughters and their husbands, Harle and Thomas Carlucci of Meriden and Jane and Brad Fairchild of East Hampton; a beloved granddaughter Lauren E. Carlucci and fiancé Thomas Sangeloty; and many nieces and nephews.

She was predeceased by a sister Althea Lockert; and six brothers Harry, Victor, Mervin, Alan, John, and Anthony Fontanella.
Nancy’s family will receive relatives and friends at the Meriden Memorial Funeral Home, 450 Broad St., Meriden, Wednesday, April 28, from 4 p.m. until 6:30 p.m.
A funeral service will begin at 6:30 p.m. Please follow CDC guidelines, wear face coverings and practice social distancing.
A private interment will be held at Sacred Heart Cemetery in Meriden.
