Obituary: Vicky A. Wrobel, 63, of Meriden

Vicky, always a strong and determined fighter, was a loving and truly devoted wife, mother and grandmother.

MERIDEN, CT - (From Wallingford Funeral Home) Vicky A. Wrobel of Meriden passed away on April 3, 2021 in her home. She was the loving wife of James V. Wrobel for 45 years.

Vicky was born on January 23, 1958 in Portland, Maine and moved to Meriden with her family as a child.
In addition to her husband, Vicky is survived by the most important part of her life, her son Nicholas, her daughter Rebecca and precious granddaughter, Johnese.

She also leaves behind her loving sisters Melody Lovely (Allen), Darlynn Pappas and Sylvia Rider, and several nieces, nephews, and great nieces and nephews. Vicky is pre­ deceased by her parents Elmer & Carolyn Smith.

Vicky was a beautiful person, inside and out and an adoring & compassionate caregiver for her mother.

Vicky had a beautiful home that she and her husband traveled to find perfect items to enhance its beauty and add "her" touch to everything.

Vicky loved the Boston Red Sox and even taped all their games. Everyone enjoyed the wonderful Christmas Eve celebrations, Super Bowl parties, game nights and her sisters have fond memories of birthday brunches with her and their mother.

Vicky was a strong woman that fought a battle with every ounce of her being.

She will live forever strong in the hearts of all that knew her, loved her and will be missed every day.

In following Vicky's wishes, Funeral services and burial in Walnut Grove Cemetery will be private.
