Obituary: Walter "Walt" S. Rostock, Jr., 92, of Meriden

Walt, a devoted family man, was a proud veteran of the United States Army and served as a plant manager for many years.

MERIDEN, CT - (From Meriden Memorial Funeral Home) Walter S. (Walt) Rostock, Jr., 92, loving husband for 46 years of Anna "Ann" M. (Puchini) Rostock went home to be with the Lord on October 13, 2020 in the comfort of his Florida Home of 23 years.

Walt was born in Meriden, CT., February 5, 1928 and had been a Connecticut resident for many years. A proud veteran of the United States Army, he later earned a bachelor’s degree and was employed as a plant manager until his retirement.

In addition to his wife Ann, he is survived by Deborah Puchini, and Louis Puchini (Mary Jo), and loving grandchildren, Troy, Carla and Amy Puchini; his sister Irene Rojcewicz; many nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his two sons Wally Rostock and Michael Rostock; and his sister Jean Sokolowski.

His Funeral Liturgy will be celebrated on Saturday, June 12, 2021 at 10 a.m. in St. Faustina Parish (St. Stanislaus Church) 82 Akron St., Meriden. Interment with military honors will follow in St. Stanislaus Cemetery.

Gifts in memory of Walt may be made to Hope Hospice, 9470 Health Park, Ft. Myers, Florida, 33908. Funeral arrangements are under the direction of Meriden Memorial Funeral Home, 450 Broad St., Meriden.
