Park Ranger Proposal in Meriden on Hold: Report
Further discussion on the plan is needed.

MERIDEN, CT — A plan to hire a pair of park rangers to patrol the Meriden Green has been placed on hold temporarily in favor of Meriden police officers continuing to keep an eye on the park, reports the Meriden Record-Journal.
The City Council Monday sent the proposal back to committee for further discussion, in part because there are questions about the cost and other factors.
The position would pay between $35,000 and $48,000, estimates Meriden Finance Director Michael Lupkas, and whoever the city eventually hires for the job will likely be full-time.
