Pedestrian Pinned To Wall, Seriously Injured In Meriden Crash

A box truck struck three parked cars and a woman was pinned between a vehicle and a concrete wall in a wreck over the weekend.

MERIDEN, CT — A pedestrian was seriously injured when she was pinned between a vehicle and a concrete wall after a box truck crashed into three parked cars, The New Haven Register reported. The crash occurred around 3 p.m. Saturday in the 700 block of Old Colony Road.

The box truck was driving north on Old Colony Road, then ran off the road and hit three parked cars, a utility pole, a granite post, and a tree. The woman ended up being trapped briefly between a vehicle and a concrete wall, according to The New Haven Register.

She was taken to Hartford Hospital with serious injuries. The wreck remains under investigation.
