Police: Man Robbed Meriden's Colony Market With Knife

Police are searching for a suspect who allegedly robbed Colony Market earlier today.

A press release from the Meriden Police Department:

On Monday, Dec. 23 at around 8:45 a.m., officers from the Meriden 
Police Department responded to 640 Old Colony Road (Colony Market) for an 
armed robbery that had just occurred.

The suspect is described as a light-skinned male wearing a black hooded sweatshirt, blue jeans, a black knit cap, and a scarf or mask covering the lower part of his face. The suspect entered the store, walked behind the counter, pushed the clerk, and displayed a knife.

The suspect took money from the register and several packs of cigarettes. The suspect appeared calm and unrushed during the incident and may have fled in a black pickup truck.
