Reconstruction Of 2 Meriden Bridges Will Include Road Closures
The two projects will start next month.
MERIDEN, CT — The city is planning two bridge construction projects that will result in road closures, according to a city statement.
One is a reconstruction project of the Cooper Street Bridge over Harbor Brook. This project will require closing Cooper Street between Meridian Street and Cherry Street.
The bridge will be closed starting on April 5. Construction is expected to be completed in early December.

The second project involves reconstruction of the Kensington Avenue Bridge over Sodom Brook.
This project will require closing Kensington Avenue between Lewis Avenue and Summary Street.

The bridge will be closed starting on April 6. Construction is expected to be completed in early July 2021.
Access will be maintained for all residents and businesses, and the detour route will be posted for both projects, according to a city statement.
